Class 2 had a wonderful time during their One Goal session.

The children performed a wonderful Halloween themed class assembly!

The children in Class 2 have thoroughly enjoyed their morning of Roald Dahl activities. We have been making hats, cups and place mats for our special lunch.

 
Class 2 had a fabulous outdoor art lesson!
The children took full advantage of the sunshine and created their own "natural" masterpieces, using Andy Goldsworthy as inspiration.
The children gathered their own materials from around school and worked fantastically in groups.

We have been measuring each other and different bones in their bodies. They were investigating body proportions and do we all grow at the same rate.

We learnt the inhabitants of Eyam in 1665. We then had a debate to decide whether or not we too would quarantine ourselves if the plague came to Sabden.

We are six students from De Montfort University taking part in the Crytek Off the Map project, building a 3D representation of 17th century London before The Great Fire. Key Stage 2 had an amazing time at Outdoor Elements last week.

We explored evaporation, condensation and the water cycle. Then we made a mini water cycle in a jar.

We discovered that, unlike ice, chocolate and margarine do not melt in the fridge, We wanted to find the melting temperature of chocolate and margarine.

Class 2 visited the Ribchester Roman Museum.

Class 2 investigated the sugar content of our favourite foods and were shocked to see the results!!

Class 2 designed and painted their Roman shields as they learnt about the history of the Romans before 'going into battle' using the testudo formation.

Spring has sprung in Sabden and Class 2 went to investigate.

We burnt a 'monster munch' to demonstrate how much energy is stored in the food we eat.

Two budding entrepreneurs from Class 2 showed their vision for 'Stickman Warfare' this morning. Their next stop is Dragons Den!

Class 2 carried out investigations into chemical reactions which produce carbon dioxide gas.

Class 2 modelled the journey of food through the digestive system.

We have had a visit from the School Nurse to talk about how to look after our teeth properly.
