Remembrance Assembly 11th November 2016

Our Year 6 children led a very moving Remembrance assembly this morning. Well done children! We were so pleased that many parents, relatives and local community members were able to join us.
Thank you to Reverend Carmyllie for leading the prayers at our village war memorial. We were sorry that Mayor Holgate could not be with us but were thrilled that her nephew and his wife, Mr and Mrs Lawless, could represent her and replace her poppy wreath at our wooden plaque in school.

Our competition winners - decorate a pumpkin and name the Halloween Teddy - well done everyone!

A big "THANK YOU" to Sabden Horticultural Society.
Once again they have donated a bulb to every child in school and brought them today for them to plant in the class troughs.
We cant wait to watch the yellow tulips grow.
Thank you to Mrs Clarkson and Mr Parfitt for your time and help.

Another fabulous Funtastic Friday art group with Mrs Moore!

SABDEN BOWLING CLUB
A massive THANK YOU goes to Sabden Bowling Club for their generosity.
They have donated an indoor bowling green to school, aren't we lucky! Dave Cunliffe came to demonstrate and our two sports ambassadors tried it out!
We will be running an after school bowling group soon and Dave will be there to guide us!

CHRISTMAS CUP COMPETITION

Our School was asked if we would like to organise a "Christmas Cup Competition!"

Of course we said, "Yes!!"

Every child in the school took part.

Two designs from each year group were sent to the Paper Cup Company.

They then chose 4 winning designs and made them into 500 real cups!!

Well done to Alfie Topping, Sam Marhraoui, Evie Counsell and Eleanor Salt for their winning designs!!

Our children are using them at their Christmas parties and at our school Christmas dinner.

We would like to say a massive "thank you" for making this possible to:-

Hour of Code

On Monday 15th December 2014, 13 children from KS2 completed the Hour of Code project. This was an extremely successful evening and the children had a fantastic time. Events like this can't take place without the support of our wonderful parents and in this case, Mr Adam Korol, who generously gave up his time to run the project. A huge thank you to you.

Take a look at some of our pictures below.
